The local food

Geena and Silvanus, our chefs, and their team spoil us every night with a three course buffet. The majority of the ingredients used come from our own production or from farms in the area. For dairy foods (yogurt, cheese, feta, ice cream) and meat we keep our own cattle and sheep, game comes from hunting farms in the area (as within the reserve there is stricly no shooting). Bread and cakes are also home-made.

In the evening, the fireplace invites you to a cozy exchange of experiences.

It is not easy to grow food in dry Namibia – but especially in the rainy season our vegetable garden and the papaya and citrus plants allow rich harvest.

We are having our food in the cozy dining room or on the spacious terrace with direct views of the Otjipatera Mountain Range and the waterhole for the wildlife.
